| The Long Island Super Sport Team is a club for Chevrolet auto enthusiasts who are owners of 1994 - 96 Impala SS and 1991-1996 LT1 powered Caprice Sedans and Wagons & Buick Wagons . Membership dues are $30 per year, payable in May. LISST meetings are held seven times a year on Sundays between March and November with the meeting location
alternating between Hooters Restaurants in East Meadow and Islandia, NY. Please check the web calender for date and time. LISST activities include Meetings, Mod Days, Dyno Days, Car Shows, Drag Racing, Picnics, Cruises and visits to points of interest. Examples of these include visits to the Cradle of Aviation Museum, Picnics at Montauk Point, Cruises to the Martha Clara Vineyards and to Parker Wickham's auto exhibit, etc. LISST Drag Day is a fund raiser that is held every July at Raceway Park (Englishtown) in NJ for the benefit of local charities. All LISST functions are family oriented, therefore spouse & significant others are always welcome to attend. LISST has elected and appointed officers. The five elected officers are chosen by member ballot each November; namely the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer & Activities Coordinator. Only members whose dues are current may vote in this election. After the elections, the President appoints other officers as required. Currently they are the Sergeant at Arms, Membership Coordinator, Webmaster, Newsletter Editor and Storekeeper. LISST is proud to donate to our local charities. |
